Taiko Concert

The last Saturday that Hanna was here we took her to a Taiko drum concert performed by the group MUSA. The kanji for their name means Samurai Warrior. They were awesome! Hanna added to her collection of Japanese boyfriends and thoroughly enjoyed the show. They drummed, they danced, they held swords, and they were amazing!

Chris and Amy Larsen let us sit by them because our concerned hostess thought that our front row seats would be too loud for baby #3!

The opening acting was a womens group called J's Five. They were great!

Tateishi Beach I

My friend Chantel recommended this beach and we loved it! (I'll have to go back to be sure about the name - we didn't really see any signs that we could read about it.) I'm not sure but if I had to guess I'd say that Scott had even more fun in the sand and water than the boys!

Look at that grin!

Burying Hanna was so much fun. Jared especially liked shoveling sand into Hanna's skimpy top!

"Check this out..."

Beach front property...a girl can dream, right?

The climb out to the tide pools was a little precarious in wet flip-flops but we made it all right. It was hard to get the boys all the way out there because there was so much sea glass tempting them on the pebble beach just before the rock outcropping we had to climb over

Boy+sand+water+sun= One big smile!

Only one word is needed here - CUTE!

Yikes!!! It has been a while since those legs have seen sun - like more than a few years!

Here we have one happy camper! Jared was busy finding sea glass and hunting for shells. Ethan, however was only interested in digging!

Kanazawa Park

Our 10 minute drive to the park turned into a 40 minute exploration of nearby communities because Scott thought the toll booth (painted with zebra stripes) was closed - however it turns out that there is no other way to get to the zoo but that one toll gate. After our scenic tour we found our way back to the zebra striped toll booth and made it to the park - we opted out of the zoo because it was so hot we figured all the animals would be sleeping but we had a great time at the park - I can't wait for October to go back and play and see the animals.

Sweet roller slides!

Super Ninja Obstacle Course #500

Jared, almost at the end of his rope maze.

Hanna, Queen of the Jungle Gym...

Jared couldn't get enough of the slides - with our new bum pads (note the blue handle Jared is holding on to) it's a whole new experience!

What better way to cool down after playing hard and sweating hard than eating apple mango icecream in an airconditioned shop?!!
